Visit the historic
Miller Farm
with your students!
The Eaton Rapids Area Historical Society would like to invite you to bring your students to experience what life in Eaton Rapids might have been like in the late 1800’s and beyond.
Mineral water, wool, and ice cream helped create the Eaton Rapids we know today, and with a trip to the farm your students will discover the important role they played in thedevelopment of our city.
Costumed interpreters will guide them through the 1860’s Miller Home, the 1870’s Wright One Room School house, the 1850’s Plains Road Bible Church, the Museum, and of course, the 1940's Ice Cream parlor. Depending on it's completion when you visit, we might also be able to visit the Jean Kline Block, our latest building which will contain four different business--an undertaker, a printshop, a general store, and a photography studio.
For student groups there is a $1 fee for this tour, which includes a free small vanilla ice cream cone!
We also offer half-day paid programs in our One Room Schoolhouse; click here for more information on those programs.
Please call (517-256-9460) or email info@eatonrapidshistory.com
for more information or to book your visit.
