Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids, Michigan  May 14th, 2011

Picture
This years cemetery tour was excellent! In addition to all the people we visited, we also visited the Mausoleum. Some of the people highlighted were Mayor Barzilla Custer, Mayor G. Elmer McArthur, Mrs. I.N. Reynolds, Herbert Boice, Mrs. Edward (Cora) Horner, Miss Rhea Miller and Liberty Hicks.  All were colorful characters in the earlier days of Eaton Rapids.

We recommend buying your tickets in advance for the tour, as there is limited seating on our tour wagon. They are $5 each, $4.50 if you are a member of ERAHS.  We accept credit or debit cards for purchases.

Please park at the back of the cemetery to start and end the tour near the Mausoleum.  Light refreshments will be served.
Rosehill cemetery is located on West Street. There is abundant history in our cemetery: many of the region’s pioneers are buried here, as well as Veterans from as early as the war of 1812.
On the tour you will meet several illustrious characters from Eaton Rapids history.
Costumed interpreters will tell you a bit about the lives of these people and many more who helped make Eaton Rapids the city it is today.
